File Management
Stiple Labs provides comprehensive file management tools within each project. All file operations respect project permissions, so available actions may vary based on your access level.
Uploading Files
Once you open a project, you will see an upload area at the top center with the label "Drag and drop files here." This provides two ways to upload files:
- Drag and drop: Simply drag files from your computer directly onto the upload area
 - Click to select: Click on the upload area to open your file browser

Upload Specifications
| Specification | Limit |
|---|---|
| Maximum files per upload | 10 files |
| Maximum file size | 150 GB per file |
| Upload method | Sequential processing (one at a time) |
💡 Tip
If drag and drop or clicking does not work, you do not have upload permissions for this project.
Upload Process
When you initiate an upload, a dialog box opens showing the upload status. Files are processed sequentially, and you will see real-time progress for each file.
Possible outcomes:
- ✅ Success: Page refreshes automatically with a confirmation message
 - ❌ Storage exceeded: Error message appears if the project owner runs out of space

Point Cloud Processing
Point cloud files require additional processing before they can be viewed in 3D. You will see the processing status next to the file name, and you will receive an email notification once processing is complete.
Downloading Files
Click the three-dot menu next to the file name
Select Download from the dropdown
The download will start automatically
Select files by clicking the checkbox next to each file name
Click the Download button that appears at the top of the file table
All selected files will begin downloading
For point cloud files, you will see an additional Preview option in the three-dot menu. This opens an interactive 3D preview dialog where you can examine the file before downloading.
Moving Files to Trash
Important
Files moved to trash are kept for 30 days, after which they are permanently deleted.
Click the three-dot menu next to the file
Select Move to Trash
If you do not see this option, you lack deletion permissions
Confirm your action in the dialog that appears
Click Move to Trash to confirm
Select files using the checkboxes next to their names
Click the Move to Trash button at the top of the file table
Confirm your action in the dialog box
Deleting a folder works the same as deleting files, but note that:
Moving a folder to trash will also move all its contents to trash.
You will receive confirmation messages in the top right corner for both successful operations and errors.
Creating Folders
Click the Add Folder button at the top of the file explorer
If you do not see the Add Folder button, you do not have permission to create folders in this project.
Enter a folder name in the popup that appears
Click Add Folder to create it
The page will refresh and display your new folder
Navigating Folders
To enter a folder, simply double-click on its name or row in the file table.
